This series of essays is a collaborated project between the Japan Foundation and Subaru, a monthly literary magazine published by Shueisha.

Three Japanese authors are paired with two authors from US and one from Ireland, respectively. Being unable to see each other because of the pandemic, three pairs of authors exchange various thoughts in the form of “letters.”
